Why are permissions important

To ensure that your account is being administered properly, Gtmhub allows you to set different permissions. This enables users in your company to:

  1. Update and track OKRs progress in accordance with your organization's OKRs process;
  2. Follow up with continuous improvement initiatives such as scheduling conversations and retrospectives at the end of the session;
  3.  Integrate with other Business Intelligence systems that are being used internally.

Permissions in Gtmhub:

Permissions in Gtmhub must be specified for each session. This means that every time when you create a new session and/or edit an existing one, you must set permissions.

If you don't define permissions, by default the whole account will have access to this session.

Gtmhub allows permissions to be set on 4 different levels - employees, teams, roles, and account.

Employees

Here's how to set specific permissions for employees:

  1. Navigate to OKRs > Manage Sessions
  2. Click the Create a session button
  3. Select Custom from the drop-down menu under the Permissions section
  4. Type in the name of the employee who will be given specific permissions
  5. Choose permissions: update, delete, create or modify permissions
  6. Save session

Pro-tip:

The "Read" permission is set by default and cannot be unchecked. This is because users in your account should be at least enabled to view the OKRs in the account.

Teams

Here's how to set specific permissions for teams:

  1. Navigate to OKRs > Manage Sessions
  2. Click the Create a session button
  3. Select Custom from the drop-down menu under the Permissions section
  4. Click the +select from list > Teams > Select team/s > Apply
  5. Save session

Pro-tip:

Please note that when assigning permissions on a team level, all the team members (including the manager) will be granted the same permissions.

Roles

Here's how to set specific permissions for roles:

  1. Navigate to OKRs > Manage Sessions
  2. Click the Create a session button
  3. Select Custom from the drop-down menu under the Permissions section
