By default, Gtmhub automatically generates a URL for your account when you sign up. This URL usually looks like https://account1047986.(us.)gtmhub.com. By default, your account name matches the URL, for example, Account 1047986. You can change both your URL and account name from your Gtmhub account settings. Learn more about how to do this in this article.

Manage your account name and domain

You manage both your account name and domain from a designated screen in your Gtmhub account settings.

Change account name

Your account name is used on your Gtmhub invoice and outgoing notification emails. To change your account name follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Gtmhub account Settings
  2. Click on Account name and domain
  3. Use the Change link under the option you want to modify
  4. Type the desired new value in the text box and click on Save

Change your domain

Your account domain is used to generate the URL on which you access your account in the browser. It also determines the URL used in all hyperlinks in outgoing emails like notifications, user invites, and so on. To change your domain name follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Gtmhub account Settings
  2. Click on Account name and domain
  3. Use the Change link under the option you want to modify
  4. Type the desired new value in the text box. Wait for the domain check to pass successfully. This will be indicated by a green checkmark in the textbox next to the provided value.
  5. Click on Save

NOTE: Gtmhub validates each domain name against predefined criteria.

If the provided value is invalid or matches an existing Gtmhub account domain you will not be able to use it and the Save button will remain inactive. To proceed, provide another value that passes the check successfully.

If you have Single Sign On (SSO) configured you must contact Technical Support and request changing your domain.

WARNING: If you change your domain, previous links to your account (e.g. in emails or browser bookmarks) will no longer work.
